Our precious ROSEY was born smaller than the average alpaca . Her dad is smaller than the average alpaca and she took more of her dads genes.
She was growing up steadily til one day we noticed she was sitting more than usual. Then after a week or so she was laying down more than usual and not getting up. We phoned different vets to see if they can help us diagnose her but no help was received as most said they’d have to see her in person to help her out which wasn’t easy for us to do at the time as it required we take her there to the vet and keeping her away from her mother wasn't a great idea in her condition. As first time baby alpaca owner's were a little worried about the condition of Rosey as we felt helpless not knowing what we can do to help her. But thankfully thanks to the little information of other alpaca owners and their similar experiences we found on the internet we were not only able to diagnose Rosey but we were able to give her the needed supplements in a timely fashion to help her improve greatly and get her stabilized. |
