Super Mini "Teddy Bear" Sheep!
10 Benefits of Wooly Weeders:
We have the most adorable & rare super mini spotted babydoll rams that we use to sire all our lambs. We are currently using both Fenrir & Sheldon to sire our entire herd. This helps promote genetic diversity, spots and smaller stature.
The rest of the rams are our farm pets that act like dogs that love to be near us and eat from our hands, greet our Airbnb guests and keep us company as wonderful therapy animals. They are part of our happy farm-ily and would be a wonderful addition to your farm also.
We breed both Babydoll sheep & Harlequin/Babydoll sheep. We have different price ranges for every farm owner to be able to enjoy these adorable & unique farm animals. We introduced mini harlequin sheep to our herd to add the excellent wool, diversity & spotted genetics along with their fun temperament.
- Extremely ADORABLE! We have a pretty special & unique herd of adorable mini teddy bear "ewok" sheep in our farm. We are one of the only with our very unique and special spotted super mini Babydoll & Harlequin Babydoll sheep. We breed them for those looking for easier to manage sheep, "easy keepers", because of their very small stature (average under 24" tall). They have the cutest and playful personalities and are the cutest little farm teddy bears ever! We raise them to maintain our organic property and and greet our farm & Airbnb guests.
- Unique blood lines. We pull our bloodlines from different parts of the US so if you ever want to breed in the future you will have a flock of diverse bloodlines.
- Easy Keepers. One of the easiest farm animals to keep, They are not by nature destructive and are very docile. They love little children and can be raised friendly enough to eat from your hands. You only need to to shear them 1 time per year!
- Economical & eco-friendly. You don't have to spend your time mowing the grass and expensive machinery to do what these animals were created to do for you. They will spend their time grazing and we supplement their feed with hay to diversify their diet or as needed. Their small stature means their food intake is alot smaller quantities than standard sheep.
- Great Vineyard Keepers, Organic fertilizers & efficient lawn mowers. These sheep are raised on a pasture and love to spend their day grazing. During their grazing they will graciously leave their droppings which is considered organic fertilizers which will help the microbiome and improve the health of your soil for future gardens, etc.
- Therapy animals. Sometimes we put a chair out in the field, read a book while the sheep are grazing. Being in their presence is very relaxing and calming. The more you spend time with them the more they learn to trust you and be close to you.
- Their droppings don't stink! Another wonderful feature is that their dropping don't smell and they don't attract flies as other farm animal droppings do.
- Amazing Wool! The unique sheep we have grow out a wonderful wool that you can sell or turn into wonderful clothing, natural insulation or fertilize the soil with.
- Wonderful companions. Their calm and docile nature makes having them quite a privilege and will have your guests entertained. Their docile personality also makes them an easy target for predators so a fenced yard, protected covered area and or herd guardian, (like alpacas), would be good to have around them.
- Friendly Greeters. If you have a winery or farm open to the public your guests would absolutely love them and would make for some great entertainment while they enjoy their wine country experience. They also do well with other animals. We currently raise our sheep around our Alpacas, goats, chickens and friendly dogs.
